I don't think that you know, that I think you don't know

Wow...a blog. I didn't think that I would be writing a blog, but here I am. I will tell you a little about myself first.

I was born in Hampton, VA, the fifth of six children. My father was livestock farmer and plumbing inspector. My mother was a stay at home mom that tended to all of our needs. I have a brother, the first child, and four sisters. I married my best friend in 1985 when Marisa Holliday gave me her hand in marriage. We have two wonderful boys, Charlie & Christian. I am blessed with wonderful in-laws who have always treated me as family.

I am a magician and own a magic shop in Gatlinburg, TN. I have two dogs, two cats, two doves and two rabbits. I live on a lake in Dandridge, TN at the foot of the Great Smoky Mountains.

I was diagnosed with stage 3a lung cancer in Dec08. I had a third of my right lung and part of two ribs removed followed by chemotherapy. I am still recovering as I write this.

I hope that this blog can entertain, help, or just plain interest you, but I must be honest...I am writing this for my own purposes. If it works serve your interests, then we will call it a happy marriage.

So with Charlie going to law school in Arlington and Christian going to University of TN in the fall, these are the "golden years" that I have looked forward to spending with my wife and family.

Ain't it funny how an old broken bottle looks just like a diamond ring?
But, hey, I am too blessed to be depressed, and probably better than I deserve.

So sit back and relax. Enjoy the show, try the veal and don't forget to tip your waiters and waitresses. I'm here all week folks...
